Command Headquarters
68th Lightning Lancers
Guidelines & Rules
07 January, 2008
Updated 01 March,
2008
Minimum qualifying age for squad member is 21 years of age.
Any person
nominated for induction to the squad must fly with the squad for a
minimum of 30 days prior to a decision being made regarding acceptance.
All nominations must be submitted to command staff prior to
commencement of the 30 day trial period. Acceptance will be based on
input from squad members regarding the nominees fit within the squad.
Final decision will be made by Squad Commanding Officer.
New squad members must agree to add a 68 to front of their in-game name.
Any squad member
may voluntarily leave the squad for any reason, at any time, with no
negative feelings on either part. It is your game to enjoy and if you
feel you want to move on, no explanation is necessary.
Any squad member
may be asked to leave at any time at the discretion of the Squad
Commanding Officer. If this were to occur, there would be no hard
feelings on the part of the squad.
Any member leaving
the squad agrees to remove the 68 designation from their name upon
leaving the squad as this is a designation used only by the squad.
All squad members
agree to participate in a minimum of one squad night activity per week,
unless you inform a Command Staff member of problems which make it
unable for you to do so.
Any squad member
missing 3 full weeks of squad night activity will be removed from the
squad unless you have informed a squad Command Staff member of this gap
in advance. All decisions regarding removal will be made on a case by
case basis by the Squad Commanding Officer.
All squad members
agree to conduct themselves in a civil and appropriate manner that
reflects the Honor and Integrity of the 68th Lightning Lancers whenever
online. Because you are a member of the 68th Lightning Lancers, you
are an ambassador of the squad and all your actions are a reflection on
the reputation of the squad as a whole. If complaints are received
regarding inappropriate language or actions online, you could be
removed from the squad based on an evaluation of the complaints
received by the Squad Commanding Officer.
All squad members
agree to, on squad nights, participate as a squad team player,
following the instructions of the Officer in command during the squad
night activities.
Squad VOX channel
168 is for use by 68th Lightning Lancers at all times. If a squad
member desires to fly and communicate with non-squad members, an unused
channel other than 168 should be used. This will maintain channel 168
for exclusive use by 68th Lightning Lancers when online. Only the
Squad Commanding Officer, or Command Officer online, has the authority
to invite a non-squad member on to the 168 channel. Any non 68th
Lightning Lancers should be asked to leave VOX channel 168 immediately
if found on channel.
When a squad member
creates a mission, a VOX channel other than 168 should be used as a
mission channel. This allows continued use by the squad of this
channel for communication if they are not involved in the mission.
No 68th Lightning
Lancers squad member shall create any squad or group in any area
related to the 68th Lightning Lancers or 347th Fighter Wing without the
permission of the Squad Commanding Officer.
All squad members
agree to remain as Knights at all times while online in all of the
Main Arenas. When flying in the S.E.A. or Axis vs. Allies arenas during
scheduled events squad members agree to fly together under the same
country affiliation. During non-formal / non-squad related events
members can fly under any country affiliation they chose in these
arenas. The Training or Dueling Arenas are not subject to this rule.
Keep in mind, however that you are a representative of the 68th
Lightning Lancers while in any arena.
All squad members
should feel free to put forward any suggestions, complaints or concerns
regarding the squad or its functioning, or any squad member, to the
Squad Commanding Officer, in private, for consideration.
Squad members are
encouraged to assist other squad members to improve their
in-game skills, or assist when requested.
Squad members are encouraged to fly and work together when online on non-squad nights, but this is not mandatory.
The 68th Lightning
Lancers squad participates in many in-game special events. Squad
members are encouraged to participate if possible, but this is not
mandatory.
